Do you believe in the statement, “There is a reason for everything happening in the universe”?
Do you believe in Karma?
Karma is the reward or punishment of our own actions. It revolves around the concept of “You reap what you sow.” It is a powerful word which makes us accountable to our actions and words.
It is the ultimate form of justice which spares no one!
If you do good, you receive well.
If you do bad, you receive evil.
Karma constitutes of both actions and intentions. So, if you have done something with good intentions, irrespective of the result, you are going to be rewarded with goodness in your life.
It is a philosophy of payback.
It is a discipline to do good deeds.
Most of the hardships we face in our life arise due to our bad karma. Yet, we blame the luck! But what we fail to understand is that the karma and luck are inter-related.
Good karma gives rise to good luck and bad karma brings bad luck in our life.
Next time when you are in some trouble, in spite of blaming every possible individual, blame yourself. It’s your share of punishment, your portion of penance to neutralize your OWN bad karma.
Your character and your personality are driven by your karma.
An excerpt from Brihadaranyaka Upanishad, 7th Century BCE, explains karma as,
Now as a man is like this or like that,
according as he acts and according as he behaves, so will he be;
a man of good acts will become good, a man of bad acts, bad;
he becomes pure by pure deeds, bad by bad deeds;
And here they say that a person consists of desires,
and as is his desire, so is his will;
and as is his will, so is his deed;
and whatever deed he does, that he will reap.
The boomerang you have thrown is definitely going to come back, someday. It’s up to us, whether we want happiness in return or not!
So, let us all “man-up” or “woman-up” to our own mistakes.
