Twelve Reasons To Talk It Out

Blogmas: Day 12

Talking about what is bothering you and how you are feeling is very difficult because it puts you on a vulnerable spot. And who likes to be exposed to the outside world? However, I am going to convince you today that it is very important to share your feelings and thoughts with others.

Here are twelve reasons why you should talk it out:

  1. Bottling up the thoughts and emotions is very unhealthy
  2. A healthy way to exhaust all the toxic thoughts crawling into your headspace
  3. It calms your mind
  4. It gives you a fresh perspective, something you did not think about, earlier
  5. You will find the right help and support
  6. When you talk to someone, your brain automatically starts believing that you are not alone in this world.
  7. It is a stress buster
  8. It is the first step of getting better because you finally have the courage to acknowledge the elephant in the room
  9. As humans, we need interactions to function properly
  10. It makes you strong from within
  11. It is excellent for your mental health

So, what do you think?

Convinced yet?

Even if you are not, then please listen to me once and try.

  1. Help them with their chores
  2. Get flowers for them or a plant
  3. Express gratitude
  4. Write them a letter, handwritten is always more special
  5. Cook for them
  6. Spend time with them, like a day out or a fancy dinner or anything you two like
  7. Listen to them
  8. Encourage them to follow their dreams
  9. Give thoughtful gifts
  10. Big bear hugs
  11. Say ‘I love you’

These are not the only ways, just a few to practice. But as the saying goes, “To each one its own” you must have something special like a memory or a joke or something as silly as possible. Cherish it and them because to have a loved one and to be loved is the most special thing in the entire universe.

Five Reasons To Stay Away From Toxic People

Blogmas: Day 5

Toxic people are the must non-haves in your life if you need to live a healthy life. I know, sometimes we think it’s better to not lose hope in somebody or give them a second chance but toxic people do not deserve your time, period.

Having trouble letting go, toxic people? Do not worry, I am here with five reasons which can help you in solidifying your decision to stay away from them.

You attract negative energy

Have you ever realised how down you feel when you are with some people? It’s because their negative energy is invading your space and making you a negative person in general. You won’t even realise the damage till it becomes irreparable.

You become pessimistic

Can you give up your optimistic life to be with someone because you think they still have a chance of improvement? You become very whiny and start pointing out everything that is wrong with your life rather than being thankful for what you have.

Your perspective minimises

Being with toxic people could minimise your perspective too much that the only things you could think about are the possible failures and mishaps. The universe reflects what you think and if you are thinking about failures then, that is what you are going to get. It is as simple as that.

You start questioning the love you have

This is the saddest thing in the world! To question those who love you, thinking about the hidden agenda behind the love that they show you. But you have to keep in mind, good people are rare and difficult to find. Is it sanity to lose the good things in your life over the negative things?

You stop being a loving person

This is the nightmare kind of situation, it is like losing your identity by the influence of others. My mother once told me that being a good and loving person is the most difficult job in the world and most likely to be given up for the easy things like being selfish and bad. It is your call who you want to be and with whom do you want to be surrounded!

I know letting a person go is easier said than done. We think people might get better and change but in that process the only person who changes and becomes worse is us. It is a vicious cycle if you get stuck once. I was once friends with this person who was the perfect definition of a toxic person and I realised it after almost two years when a lot of damage was done. And when you are that forward into the loop, it makes you feel disgusted about yourself, which is not the best feeling in the world.

But, I let the person go and you can do it, too!

Four Reasons Why You Should Be Writing A Journal

Blogmas: Day 4

Journals are amazing, journals are the best thing ever! Don’t believe me? Well, prepare to be amazed. By the time you finish reading this, I am positive that you will definitely start writing journals.

Let me change your mind and welcome you to the journal writing cult. Here are the four reasons, out of a million, why everyone should be writing journals.

Personal Growth

Journaling is a perfect way to monitor your personal growth as you can take account of what you did that did not work. You can make your life strategies depending on what you should and should not do from past experiences.

Memory lane

You can store all your memories, word for word and revisit the beautiful occasions, whenever you want to. Reliving the wonderful days is something we all aspire for. Journaling makes sure that you do not miss any moment, no matter how big or small it is.

Calms mind

For me, journaling has been a source of calming my mind for as long as I can remember. Penning down thoughts help you to analyse your situation more smartly and it could be a way to calm those restless nerves. Anything in writing makes more sense than being in the already cluttered headspace.

Self belief

Journals have a beautiful way to inculcate the concept of self-belief. When you write down your thoughts and the things you believe in, your brain gets the signal that it is something important and should be followed no matter what. So, by journaling, you are training your brain to have more faith in the things you believe in. Which in other words mean believing in yourself.

So, don’t you think you should start writing journals? I think you do!

Three Ocassions When You Don’t Owe An Explanation

Blogmas: Day 3

Humans being the social animal by nature cannot stay away from each other and sometimes it could be a reason for sabotaging somebody’s perfect life. We want to get involved in everything, have an opinion about everything and sometimes it leads to broken relations and depressed hearts.

To avoid such situations, where others rule over your thinking space, there is a beautiful rule of three. Three things you should never be apologetic about and never owe any explanation to.

Who you love

Whoever we decide to love and share our life is solely our decision. We don’t need to bother with the explanation of why we love someone or why we do not. Nobody has the right to question our sexual orientation and our reasons to love somebody. Loving someone is the most personal thing and the logic behind a personal thing is that it needs to stay away from social discussions. So, if we stop thinking about what ‘they’ say, our life will be more easier and beautiful than it already is.

Choices you make

The choices we make throughout our lives are responsible for shaping our future and it would be sinful to let anyone else run the course of our life. That being said, we don’t owe it to anyone on this planet, to give reasons about why we made a certain choice or why we did not. It’s as simple as that.

Taking time out for yourself

Life, in general, can be pretty hectic and be taking some time out to rejuvenate is the wisest thing to do. We owe it to us, to take good care of ourselves. During that time, we don’t need to take any negativity from anyone, no matter how important they are for us. If they are as important as we think, then they would understand and if not, we need to kick them out of our lives.

So, that is the golden rule of three and it makes the life less stressful. Don’t we all want that?
